The arrivals of charismatic head coach Nathaniel Hackett and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson in Denver have given the Broncos a whole new vibe.
Both men have energized a franchise that’s foundered ever since winning Super Bowl 50 six years ago. Hackett is one of nine new coaches in the NFL.
The other eight are sticking with their incumbent starting quarterback.
Broncos GM George Paton followed his firing of Vic Fangio and hiring of Hackett with a blockbuster trade for Wilson. He sent a package of players and picks to the Seahawks for the 32-year-old QB.
