Attrition has hit the Nebraska men’s and women’s basketball teams this week.

Outside of the announcement that All-Big Ten Freshman Bryce McGowens was bolting for the NBA, 6-11 center Eduardo Andre has announced he is transferring from Nebraska. Andre averaged just over 3 points and 3 rebounds per game. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Ruby Porter and Mi’Cole Cayton announced on Tuesday they were both leaving the Husker women’s program.

Cayton, a graduate student at Nebraska, will look to earn her PhD and use her final year of eligibility elsewhere.

Porter, a native of Adeline, Australia, says she will return to her home country and look to continue her career there.
