Chase Olson was the only Chadron boys golfer to shoot in the 80’s on Monday as he captured 7th place with a round of 83 at the Mitchell Invite.
Olson took a big turn on his back 9 by shedding 7 strokes on his front 9 score.
Mitchell’s Cael Peters topped the leaderboard with a 76, just in front of Scottsbluff’s Austin Thyne.
Jacksyn Behrends recorded the next lowest Chadron score with a 91, followed by matching 96’s from Broc Berry and Trey Hendrickson. Shawn Schremmer capped the day with a 97.
Scottsbluff cruised to the team title with a 328, 23 strokes in front of runner-up Gering.
As a team the Cardinals finished in 4th with a 366.
They close out the regular season on Thursday at Ogallala.
