The Nebraska Depart of Transportation opened 6 highways in the Panhandle this morning, but all are south of the Pine Ridge.
Those include Hwy 26 from Bridgeport to the Wyoming state line, Hwy 385 from Bridgeport to Alliance, L62A between Hwys 26 and 385, Hwy 92 from Bridgeport to the Wyoming line, and L79E from Minatare to Hwy 92.Â
Efforts to reopen roads north of the Pine Ridge are continuing with full crews but with slow progress on highways, city streets, and county roads – primarily because of blowing and drifting snow.
Authorities continue to urge No Travel, especially in the Northern Panhandle.
