The Nebraska State Patrol is honoring breast cancer  fighters across the state this month with the Pink Patch Project. This is the seventh year for  NSPโ€™s participation in the effort, coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Pink Patch Project is a national campaign in which many law enforcement officers wear a  pink version of their agencyโ€™s shoulder patch. Troopers have the option of replacing their  traditional NSP patch with a pink NSP patch for the month of October.

โ€œThe Pink Patch Project is a wonderful effort that covers the entire country,โ€ said Colonel Johnย  Bolduc, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. โ€œNSP is proud to support the many cancer fighters across Nebraska.โ€ย ย

Pink NSP patches are available for purchase for $10 for members of the public at local NSP  offices. All proceeds from sales of the pink NSP patches will benefit Nebraskaโ€™s Hereditary  Cancer Foundation.
