The NSAA released its girls sub-district basketball tournament pairings on Thursday. Tournament action will begin on Monday and host sites and tip times will be announced later today.
The 5th seeded Chadron girls will open up with the play-in game against 4th seeded Ogallala on Monday in the C1-12 sub-district. The winner will play top seeded and unbeaten Bridgeport on Tuesday in a semifinal.
#2 Hershey and #3 Chase County will meet in the other semifinal.
Gordon-Rushville is the top seed in the C2-12 tournament and will square off with Monday’s winner between Mitchell and Hemingford. Perkins County and Bayard play on the bottom of the bracket.
Crawford will start the postseason against Morrill in the D1-12 sub on Tuesday in a 2 vs 3 battle. South Platte is the top seed and meets 4th seeded Kimball.
Hay Springs is tops in the D2-12 sub-district and will play Cody-Kilgore on Tuesday. Mullen and Hyannis tangle in the other semifinal.
All sub-district winners will advance to the district finals with a shot at going to the state tournament in Lincoln.
