Tamera “Tammy” Lynn Crow-Starr was born on October 13, 1966 in Scottsbluff, NE to Harold Crow, Sr. and Victoria (Fireplace) Bianas. Tammy made her journey to the Spirit World on June 5, 2026 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.
Anyone who knew Tammy knew she was a kind, selfless person. A devoted and proud wife, mother and grandmother. She took her role of being “Grammy Tammy” very seriously. She loved and cherished her children and grandchildren so much!
Tammy dedicated 27 years as a nurse serving at IHS. When she wasn’t working or spending time with family, you would find her beading beautiful earrings. Tammy was an amazing woman and was such a light in this world. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Tammy is survived by her spouse, Brian Starr; children, Morgan Starr & Kayla (Brendan Fast Horse) Starr; sisters, Wendy Dale, Carleen Crow, Jenny Jo Crow, Robyn Crow, and Marletta Soldier Wolf; brothers, Norman “Denver” Bianas, Burgess Bianas, Jr., Harold (Robin) Crow, Jr., and David (Lynette) Crow, grandchildren, Odin Goseyun, Novi Starr, Journi Fast Horse, Kamari Fast Horse, and Weslynn Fast Horse; daughter-in-law, Tashina Jim; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and family members.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Crow, Sr. and Victoria (Fireplace) Bianas; step-mother, Yvonne Crow; sons, Wesley Pourier, Andre Starr, and Marco Starr; paternal grandparents, Henry Isaac Crow, Jr. and Jessie Kills At Lodge-Crow; and maternal grandparents, Dallas Fireplace and Christine Two Lance.
Pallbearers will be Brendan Fast Horse, Brannon Cousin, Jaedyn Crow, Dalton Crow, Adriano Roan Eagle, Jarren Crow, Stephen Kills Small, and Brandon Fireplace.
Honorary pallbearers will be University of Nebraska Medical Center Staff and Transplant Team, I.H.S. Surgical Department, and all friends & relatives.
Wake Services: A one-night wake service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the Loneman School Gymnasium near Oglala, South Dakota. Evening services will commence at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by the Nurses’ Roll Call. All nurses are respectfully asked to bring a white rose to participate in the Roll Call ceremony.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 AM, Friday, June 19, 2026 at the Loneman School Gymnasium near Oglala, SD.
