Teen Now Facing Murder Charge In Rapid City Motel Shooting

Loading

A Rapid City teenager has now been charged with 2nd-degree murder for the fatal shooting of a Pine Ridge Reservation teen March 19th at a Rapid City motel.

19-year old Quincy Bear Robe was originally charged with aggravated assault for shooting 19-year old Myron Pourier Jr, but a Pennington County Grand Jury handed down the murder charge this week after Pourier in a hospital died of his wounds.

Bail remains at a million dollars for Bear Robe, who was also indicted by the Grand Jury for commission of a felony with a firearm. If convicted of 2nd-degree murder, he would face a mandatory sentence of life in prison.

The probable cause affidavit in the case says Bear Robe told police his girlfriend was arguing with Pourier when he shot the teen from Porcupine. He was arrested after being spotted running from the motel after the shooting.
