Terrance Wade Bissonette was born on May 30, 1965 in Pine Ridge, SD to Rudolph Leo Bissonette and Shirley Weston-Bissonette. Terrance made his journey to the Spirit World on May 3, 2026 in Lakewood, CO.Terry attended Porcupine Day School for elementary school and graduated from Flandreau Indian School. He also attended Black Hills State College for several years.Terry enjoyed traveling and living in many different places throughout his life. Over the years, he made homes in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Boise, Idaho; Reno, Nevada; Chicago, Illinois; and Denver, Colorado.Throughout his life, Terry held many different occupations. He worked as a firefighter for the United States Forest Service, and also worked as a welder, groundskeeper, construction worker, and in various other trades.Terry is survived by his brothers, Ronald Bissonette, Joe Bissonette, Angelo Perez, and Corbin Perez; sisters, Tiffany Perez-Big Fire and Alana Perez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many cousins.Terry was preceded by his father, Rudoplh Bissonette; mother, Shirley Bissonette; step-father, Angel Perez; brothers, James Bissonette, Neil Bissonette, and Jonathan Bissonettte; sister, Sharon Bissonette; maternal grandparents, Reuben Weston and Ida Weston; and paternal grandparents, Joseph Bissonette and Elizabeth Red Owl-Bissonette.Pallbearers will be Archie Two Eagle, Jr., Ted Two Eagle, Jr., Reuben Weston, Virgil Bush, Mark Mesteth, Joe Gilmore, Chris Brooks, and Maka Yellow Cloud.
