There are still few details available about a fatal shooting Thanksgiving night in the southwest Nebraska town of Imperial that left one teenager dead and one in custody.
The Nebraska State Patrol says 19-year old Jesse Krausnick died shortly after being taken by ambulance to the hospital in Imperial while 19-year year Tristan Ferguson was arrested at the house where the shooting occurred.
The State Patrol says Imperial police and Chase County deputies responded to a report of a shooting and found Krausnick with a gunshot wound and Ferguson at the scene.
After his arrest, Ferguson was lodged in the Chase County Jail in Imperial on charges that include manslaughter and felony use of a weapon.
The Imperial Police Department requested the State Patrol conduct the homicide investigation, which is continuing.
