Thomas Andrew Jones was born on May 13, 1957 to William Gordon and LaWayne Laurel (Sides) Jones, in Albany, Oregon. He died in Denver, Colorado on October 12, 2023. He was 67 years old.
A true character, doting father, talented guitarist, & Harley rider, Tom marched to the beat of his own drum, making friends everywhere he went. He coached his sons, Hunter & Surf, in multiple sports over the years, never missing a practice, game, or parent/teacher conference.
His sons, sister Tracy, family, & friends will remember him for his sweetness, charm, toughness, & sense of humor.
Tom is survived by his sons Hunter Jones and Surf Jones, his sister Tracy (Jones) Dierksen (Bart), nephews Andy Dierksen, Trent Dierksen (Jami) and Matthew Dierksen, and niece Maggie (Dierksen) Suchy. He was also a great-uncle to 6 nephews and one niece.
Tom was preceded in death by both of his parents, brother Todd Jones, former spouse Cheri (Hanson) Jones, and long time companion Carla Knapp.
Services will be held 9/7 at 10:00am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chadron, ash scattering to follow at the family farm. Please join us.
