Loading

The Nebraska State Patrol on Monday arrested 3 Lincoln women who are current or former employees at the State Penitentiary for inappropriate relationships with multiple inmates.

45-year old Laura Schluckebier and 26-Abbey Fielder are current employees of the Nebraska Dept of Correctional Services, which put them on investigatory suspension.  47-year old Nicole Carter works elsewhere now and was arrested there.

Carter and Fielder are both charged with sexual abuse of an inmate and allowing a committed offender to have unauthorized visitation or communication.

Schluckebier is charged with allowing a committed offender to have unauthorized visitation or communication and with conspiracy to allow a committed offender to communicate.  All the counts for all 3 defendants are felonies.

Carter and Schluckebier were lodged in the Lancaster County Jail while Fielder was cited and released due to medical circumstances.

Corrections Director Rob Jeffreys says “We hold our team members to a high standard, and inappropriate behavior involving a member of the incarcerated population will not be tolerated in NDCS.”

Details of the alleged behavior and the identity of the inmates involved have not been released.
