Now that the college football season is under with fall camp, award watch lists continue to be released.
Junior linebacker Luke Reimer is on the Butkus Award watch list for the nation’s top linebacker. He earned Big Ten honorable mention from the coaches and media last season.
Transfer edge rusher Ochaun Mathis was mentioned on the Nagurski Trophy watch list, the award is given annually to college football’s top defender.
Last year’s FCS punter of the year Brian Buschini, who is in his first year with the Huskers, is in the shuffle for the Ray Guy award given to the country’s top punter.
