The Circle of Light cancer support program of Chadron Community Hospital holds its 13th “Show the Light in Your Heart” fundraiser tonight at 5:30 in the Dawes County Fairground Events Center.
Tickets are $20 and available at the door.
Chadron Community Hospital Director of Radiology and Circle of Light coordinator Jodi Dannar is looking forward to another big showing from supporters of the program.
The Circle of Light was started by a grant from the Susan G Komen foundation to support breast cancer patients and help meet related expenses not covered by insurance, but was quickly expanded to cover all cancers.
Dannar says Circle of Life has raised and distributed well over $800,000 to area residents for both regular living expenses and those related to going elsewhere for treatment
Dannar says tonight’s Show the Light in Your Heart again features buffet-style appetizers plus both silent and live auctions – the level of donations once again exceptional.
Among the live auction items are 3 different special excursions on the 1880 Train in the Black Hills, tickets to the Rapid City Rush, a Solo Stove Dual Energy Pizza Oven, a gun safe, kayak, handmade knife, and a Ducks Unlimited Collectors 16-gauge shotgun.
Dining and the silent auction begin at 5:30 with the live auction starting at 7:00. Tickets are $20 and available at the door.
