Funeral services for 51-year old Tina Marie Lamont-Black Elk are Saturday, May 29, 2021 at noon at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee, SD, with Pastor Keith Rich, Pastor Wendell Ghost Bear, and Deacon Cyrus Black Elk officiating.
Burial is at St Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Hisle, SD
A one-night wake service starts Friday, May 28, at 1:00, also at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee
Tina Marie Lamont-Black Elk “Thingleska Cikala Win” was born on November 2, 1969 in Kadoka, SD to Richard Lee Lamont and Amelia Elizabeth (Janis) Blackbear. Tina made her journey to the Spirit World on May 23, 2021 in Martin, SD.
Tina is survived by her mother, Amelia E. Janis-Blackbear; spouse, Cyrus Black Elk; daughters, Amelia Lynn Bettelyoun, Kylie Blue Legs, and Arliss Black Elk; sons, Reuben Bettelyoun, Doyle Bettelyoun, Kobe Lamont, Trey Lamont, Chase Lamont, CJ Black Elk, Joseph Black Elk, and Dalton Black Elk; siblings, Tracy Lamont, Richard Ryan Lamont, Seth Blackbear, Jr., Nikki Rae Jacobs, and Brent & Sheila Lamont; and grandchildren, Damien Bettelyoun, Lloyd Jacobs, Connor White Mouse, Kyrin Blue Legs, Nalana Stands, Nalaya Bettelyoun, Evelynn Jo, Aniyah Joi, and Darilyn JurneeJo Black Elk.
Tina was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lee Lamont; maternal grandparents, Cleve & Annie Janis; maternal great grandparents, Frank & Margaret Randall; step-father, Seth Blackbear, Sr.; daughter, Talana Yellow Boy; uncles, Melvin, Nick, & Lloyd Janis; aunts, Belva Young and Linda Red Willow; paternal grandparents, Esaul & Cecelia Richards; paternal great grandparents, George & Jenny Lamont; aunt & uncle, Billy & Lou Beane; cousins, Tyrell Ringing Shield, Jim Ringing Shield, & Ronnie Beane; and grandmother, Victoria Imitates Dog.
Pallbearers will be Richard R. Lamont IV, Richard F. Lamont, Jay Jacobs, CJ Black Elk, Marcus Lamont, Tanner Young, Kaden Young, Randy Janis, Seth Blackbear, Jr., Richard R. Lamont, Jeremy Janis, and Algin Young.
