     Former Vice President Mike Pence, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis are in Nebraska today for Gov. Pete Ricketts’ annual steak fry .
The event at the Arbor Day Lodge in the southeast Nebraska community of Nebraska City also celebrates agriculture.
     Pence, Cruz, and DeSantis are high-profile Republicans who are viewed as potential 2024 presidential candidates.
     The fact Ricketts invited them, combined with his increasing attacks on President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats and their policies, are seen by some pundits as evidence Ricketts is angling for a cabinet-level post if the Republicans reclaim the White House in 2024.
