A very busy weekend for the Chadron Police Department included a traffic stop that led to a warrant arrest and a citation for drug paraphernalia possession.
According to Chadron Police Chief Rick Hickstein, his officers made a traffic stop late Saturday night and upon doing a warrant check on the motorist, they discovered the driver, 25 year old Trenton Herman had two Sheridan County warrants.
While arresting Herman, officers observed the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle uncovered paraphernalia used for marijuana and 23 year old passenger Tyler Herman was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
