Tyler Jon Laforge was born on May 4, 2004 in Rapid City, SD to Tyler G. Laforge and Tessie Yellow Elk-Laforge. Tyler made his journey to the Spirit World on July 1, 2023 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Tessie Yellow Elk-Laforge; father, Tyler G. Laforge; aunts, Genevieve Yellow Elk, Tanya Cutschall, Lisa Yellow Elk, Tammy Ghost Bear, Grace White Hawk, Justine White Hawk, and Victoria White Hawk; uncles, Edgar Ghost Bear, Edward Ghost Bear, Jesse Luke White Hawk, and Eugenio “Cowboy” White Hawk; brothers, Justin Don Tobacco and Riley Laforge; sisters, Donnie Laforge, Maleeya Bald Eagle, and Aaliyah Spotted Elk; and grandparents, Iva Yellow Elk, Betty Laforge, and Denise and Eugenio White Hawk.
Tyler was preceded in death by his brother, Morgan Laforge; grandparents, Donroy Ghost Bear, Virginia Ghost Bear, Sara Grass-Ghost Bear, Wilbur Ghost Bear, Doris Ghost Bear, Edgar, Edward, and Marvin Ghost Bear, Christine Two Lance, Foster Yellow Elk, Carol Big Boy, Myrna Runnels, Julee Brewer, Jackie Yellow Elk, Tyler Laforge; great grandparents, Theresa “Terry” Hollow Horn-Cabral and Gilbert Cabral; aunts, Cheryl Big Boy, Marlys Runnels, and Tammy Joyce Ghost Bear; uncles, Luke & Johnny Ghost Bear and Derek Brewer; and cousin Haley Morrisette.
