Dawes County Attorney/Coroner Vance Haug says the unattended death of a 24-year old Chadron man on Tuesday was suicide.
Haug says he and the Dawes County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene in a rural portion of the county about 12:30 in the afternoon
After reviewing the scene and evidence found there, interviews with witnesses, and a review of tests, Haug made the preliminary determination that a self-inflicted gunshot wound was the cause of death.
