Verdell Adam “Takoj” Red Cloud Jr was born on February 3, 1964 in Pine Ridge, SD to Sylvia Red Cloud and Verdell Red Cloud, Sr. Verdell made his journey to the Spirit World on May 18, 2022 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Verdell is survived by his mother, Sylvia Red Cloud; daughters, Patricia Red Cloud, Lashanda Red Cloud, Kimberly Red Cloud, and Vienna Red Cloud; siblings, Mike Two Two, Sr., Richard Red Cloud, Donna Ross, Linda Red Cloud, and Candy Red Cloud; aunts, Linda Two Two and JoAnn Two Two; uncles, Guy Red Cloud, Marty Red Cloud, and Paul Red Cloud; cousins, Brenda Peres, Oma Perez, Suzie Red Cloud, Amy Wilson, Nora War Bonnett, Jody War Bonnett, Angie Big Crow, Robert Two Two, Sr., Mary Jo Two Two, Charlie Red Cloud, Vanessa Red Cloud, Kevin Red Cloud and Donovan Red Cloud; grandchildren, Skyler Red Cloud and Derek Red Cloud, Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Verdell was preceded in death by his father, Verdell Red Cloud, Sr.; son, Derek Red Cloud, Sr.; siblings, Leonard Red Cloud, Marvin Red Cloud, Sr., Ella Red Cloud, and George Yellow Horse, Sr.; and grandparents, Vienna Two Two, Chief Oliver Red Cloud, and Helen Red Cloud.
Pallbearers will be George Yellow Horse, Jr., Corbin Red Cloud, Kalup Morrison, Richard Ross, Joseph “Joe” Brewer, Bradley Conroy, Corey Twiss, and Lance Brewer.
Honorary Pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
