  A pedestrian/vehicle accident Wednesday evening in Pine Ridge has left the pedestrian hospitalized in critical condition. Names have not been released.
Preliminary crash information indicates the victim was crossing Main Street outside of a crosswalk about 9:00 when they were struck by a vehicle driven by an off-duty employee of the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety
To avoid conflict of interest issues, the FBI is leading the investigation into the accident, assisted by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
