Victoria Davis was born on October 18, 1934 in Hisle, SD to Levi Long Soldier and Molly Marie (Randall) Long Soldier. Victoria passed away surrounded by her family on June 6, 2023 at her home in Hot Springs, SD.

Victoria was the 3rd eldest of 8 children and attended Holy Rosary, also known as Red Cloud Indian School, up to the 11th grade.

She married Orville E Davis on May 25, 1962, and became a homemaker raising four children. Her children –  Pamela, Orin, Russell, and Debra – were the most important part of her life.

As they grew up and had families of their own, Victoria remained the center of family functions and thought a lot of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Victoria was a devoted wife and mother who loved to cook, read, bake, and quilt. She collected stuffed bears, coins, antiques, and beadwork.

Victoria was a spiritual and giving person with a warm heart who made sure people around her were taken care of. She was a trusted friend and you knew it and felt it the moment you met her.

Victoria leaves behind her 3 of her children Debra Davis, Orin O Davis, and Russell Red Horn; siblings Steven Long Soldier and Pauline Long Soldier; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, & nephews.

Victoria was preceded in death by her parents Levi and Molly Long Soldier; spouse Orville E Davis; children Fred Van Dyken and Pamela Morsette; and siblings Audrey Dupree, Josephine Ryan, Florence Long Soldier, Robert Long Soldier, and Benjamin Long Soldier.
