Victoria Featherman-Brown Bull

Victoria Lillie Featherman-Brown Bull was born on December 2, 1952 in Pine Ridge, SD to Everette and Theresa (One Horn) Featherman. Victoria made her journey to the Spirit World on January 23, 2025 at the Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, WY.

As a child she attended St. Maryโ€™s Indian School in Springfield, SD. She graduated from Pine Ridge High School, got her AAS in Secretarial Science and AA in General Studies from Oglala Lakota College in June 1992. She was later inspired by her son, Marlon to go back to school and get her AA in Lakota Studies on June 22nd, 2002.

Vicki was a generous soul, even going so far as to take her grandchildren when they needed a place to stay. Vicki loved her country music and true crime TV. Vicki had a fun personality under all the stoicism, Vicki was always telling jokes. Vicki loved visiting with her vast family. No matter how little money she had she always made sure to provide for anyone under her care. Vicki provides a sense of home for many in the family, having a constant place to stay. Vicki made sure she had her jewelry on display when she went out, her favorite pieces were from her grandchildren. Vicki was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Vicki is survived by her sons, Virgil (Caledonia) Brown Bull, Jr., Mark (Creedance) Brown Bull, and Waylon Criss; grandchildren, Tori (Gabe) Liliana Schuh, Tressa (Justin) Means-Featherman, Tiana ( Jason) Featherman, Tasia (Sonny) Featherman, Stella Featherman, Suzianna (Oscar) Featherman, Mary Featherman, Alanys & Jazmyne Brown Bull, and Jeila (Mato) Schuh & Tโ€™rese Schuh; great-grandchildren, Shyleigh Featherman, Tobias & Azalea Featherman, and Elladora Rodriguez; nephews, Lyle, Jr. & John Featherman; nieces, Kimberly Featherman, Denise (Edwin) Harris, Amy Poor Bear, and Janet ( Elliot) Harris.

Victoria was preceded in death by her father, Everette Featherman; mother, Theresa One Horn-Featherman; grandmothers, Stella Black Bear-Bullman, and Carrie Black Bear; aunt, Sadie Featherman; brothers, Lyle, Leland, and Melvin Featherman; son, Marlon Featherman; daughter, Jerilyn Old Horse; granddaughters, Darla Rae Brown Bull; life partner, Joseph Charging Crow; cousins, Louis One Horn, and Donna Turning Hawk; and niece, Janelle Turning Hawk.

Pallbearers will be Duane Spotted Eagle, Reginald No Neck, Jr., Dan Snethen, Justin LaPointe, Jason Lone Hill and Tobias Featherman.

Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 3:00 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Kyle, SD with evening services starting at 6:00 PM.

Funeral Services: 11:00 AM, Friday, February 7, 2025 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Kyle, SD.
