Funeral services for 65-year old Violet Bissonette are Monday, Feb 26, 2024 at 10:00 at Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD, with Mother Michelle Dayton officiating.

Burial is at the Bissonette Family Cemetery in Slim Buttes, SD

A one-night wake service starts Sunday, Feb 25, at 1:00 at Brother Rene Hall with evening services at 5:00.

Violet Marie Bissonette “Kimimila Win” was born on Oct 1, 1958 in Hot Springs, SD to Victor and Cordelia (Goode) Bissonette Sr.  Violet made her journey to the Spirit World on Feb 17, 2024 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD. 

Violet is survived by her daughter Michelle Randall; son Dominic Waters; hunka daughter Cydnee Shangreaux; sisters Victoria (John) DeLong of Casper, Wyo and Virginia Bissonette of Pine Ridge, SD; brothers Victor Bissonette Jr of Pine Ridge, George Bissonette Sr of Benton, CA, and Farrell Crow of Kyle, SD; nieces Alyssa Hart, Rachel Bissonette, April Bissonette, Paulette  Means, and Tammy Poor Bear; nephews Dustin Hart, Eric Brings White, Vine Hayes, Jeffery, Jason & Jeremy DeLong, Ryan, Joshua & Derek Bissonette, and George Bissonette Jr; and grandkids Landon & Logan Fisherman, Jay Jr and Jayda Janis, Byron Shot With Arrow, Hailey & Dylan Waters, Mariah Running Hawk, Kenni Shangreaux, Bryan, Bryden, Raven and Richard Tall, Rayonna Bissonette, Aiden and Braxton DeLong, Relena Hart, Vance and Kiesha Hayes, Cante and Allie Poor Bear, Lloyd Bissonette, James, Jaunna, Justina, and Jazzmin Means, LancieJo Hayes, Danielle, Ryanna, Ryan Jr Bissonette, Taylynn Richards, Crystal and Pearl Mousseaux, Bella, Stephen, Richard Jr, Avionna, Jesse, Flint, and Drayven Tall.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents Victor Bissonette Sr and Cordelia (Goode) Bissonette; son Travis Mousseaux; brothers Lloyd, Virgil, and Orville Bissonette; sisters Lena Hart and Ruby Goode; nephews Dennis & Daniel Bissonette; grandsons Flint Tall Jr, Yamni Bissonette, and Christopher Mousseaux.
