Wanda Alice (Lacota) Walking was born on August 4, 1971 in Pine Ridge, SD to Leon Lakota, Jr. and Jewel Frazier. Wanda made her journey to the Spirit World on August 21, 2022 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Darrell Walking, Sr.; daughters, Roberta Lakota, Annie Walking, and Amanda Martinez; sons, Judd Walking and Darrell Walking, Jr.; and grandchildren, Alissa Martinez, Esmeralda Martinez, Braya Lakota, Duane Stover, Jr., Taylor Mousseaux, Obadiah Mousseaux, Ambrose Mousseaux, Ashley Mousseaux, Jose Martinez, Eveliah Walking, Xion Walking, and Sebastian Walking; sisters, Janet Quijas, Wiberta Means, and Annette Irving; and brothers, Bennette Wayne Marshall and Samuel Means.
Wanda was preceded in death by her mother, Jewel Frazier; father, Leon Lakota, Jr.; brothers, Phillip Follows Road, Wesley Means, and Leon Lakota III; sisters, Hope Pamela Martin, Faye Follows Road, Martha Means-Apple, and Karen Means-Rattler; grandchildren, Desmond Walking and Sioux Dawn Mousseaux; and brother, Leslie Follows Road.
