The Sioux County Warriors nabbed a come-from-behind victory with free throw shooting in overtime over the Banner County Wildcats Monday.
The Warriors shutout the Wildcats in overtime 7-0 to take the 55-48 victory to get their sixth win of the season. A big third quarter helped Sioux County force the overtime period. After falling behind 22-16 at half-time, Sioux County netted 25 points in the third period, as they drained four treys and jumped ahead 41-37. Banner County outpaced the Warriors in the final eight minutes with an 11-7 run to tie the game at 48 as time ran out.
Sioux County went seven of 10 from the free throw line in overtime and kept the Wildcats from scoring to clinch the win.
Jack Hunter led the Warriors with 23 points, as he hit five treys on the night, including three in the third quarter. Colton Randall was also in double digits with 12, while William Skavdahl netted nine and Shane Gluth had eight.
Way to come back and win, Warriors! Free throws are important, too, eh?
