Graveside services for 26-year old Wiconi Runs Above are Monday, June 19, 2023 at 2:00 at the Holy Cross Episcopal Cemetery in Pine Ridge, SD, with Travis Condon & Family officiating and traditional Lakota services by Ms Darla Black
A two-night wake service starts Saturday, June 17, at 11:00 at Joyner Hall in Pine Ridge.

Wiconi Rose Antonia Runs Above was born on May 31, 1997 in Pine Ridge, SD to Rebecca Runs Above. Wiconi made her journey to the Spirit World on June 6, 2023 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Wiconi attended Pine Ridge Elementary School when she was 8 years of age and continued her education as a Pine Ridge Thorpe.
During this time, Wiconi joined the wrestling team with Dave Machaud as her coach. Wiconi and her teammates, Carol Long, Lasaunus Goings, and Tierny Yankton worked and trained very hard with Coad Dave Machaud and took the Pine Ridge Thorpes Wrestling Team to State on several occasions.
Wiconi is survived by her two sons Kaleb Z. Runs Above and Kobe Shae Runs Above; mother Rebecca Runs Above; siblings “Bubbz” Whisper, Summer, & Caidance Runs Above, Ricky Johnathan “Baby Doll” Arlene Valance, Lana Samantha “Shug”, Robin, Rico, Sky, Raymond “Storm”, and Deitrich Bagola; aunts Jessie Pulliam, Phoebe Bad Yellow Hair, and Emily Lakota; hunka sisters Jaime Janis, Shelly Martin, Xandrea Brave, Eva Sutton, Carlo Long, Savanna Belt, and Cheyenn Cross; and hunka brothers Ty Waters, Charles Pulliam, Christian Janis, Percy White Plume Jr, Dennis, Markus, & Chris Cross.
Wiconi was preceded in death by her brothers Richmond “Shayko” Bagola and Cortland Janis; uncles Art Runs Above, Norman Runs Above, and Greg Swick Sr; grandparents Madeline Black Bear, Marvin Runs Above Sr, Grace Swick, Cynthia Runs Above, and Robin Runs Above.
