Wilbur Ritchie Red Elk-DeLeon, Jr. was born on December 7, 1989 in Pine Ridge, SD to Wilbur Red Elk, Sr. and Carmen Chase Alone. Wilbur, Jr. made his journey to the Spirit World on August 6, 2021 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Wilbur is survived by his siblings, Jesse Red Elk of Allen, SD, Thomas Red Elk, Sean Red Elk, Faith Red Elk, Jessica Red Elk and Whitney White Hawk all of Manderson, SD, Carmen Running Bear of Denver, CO, and Francis Red Elk of Pine Ridge, SD; aunts, Emma Red Elk, Patsy Red Elk, and Matilda Red Elk all of Manderson, SD; uncles, Peter Red Elk and Richard Red Elk both of Manderson, SD, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Red Elk, Sr. and Carmen Chase Alone; spouse, Anthony DeLeon; brothers, Cletus Red Elk and Francis Red Elk; sister, Nicollette Red Elk; nephew, Emil Red Elk; grandparents, Patrick and Phoebe Red Elk, Vina Chase Alone, and Matthew Elk Boy; great grandparents, Mark & Lizzie Chase Alone, Peter Red Elk, and Fannie (Black Tail Deer) Red Elk; aunt, Elizabeth Chase Alone; uncle, Homer Chase Alone; and god-mother, Lillian Yellow Horse.
