Wine Theft Leads To Citations

Two individuals were cited for shoplifting after allegedly stealing two bottles of wine from a local convenience station overnight.

Lt. Walz with the Chadron Police Department said police were called to the 1200 block of West Highway 20 around 1:30 a.m. Friday morning. Two young adults were reported to have stolen the bottles of wine. Video evidence allowed officers to make contact with the suspects in the 700 block of West 8^th Street.

At 3:30 a.m., a 17-year-old female and an 18-year-old male were issued citations for shoplifting. The male subject was also issued a citation for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
