Riverside Discovery Center is excited to share dates and times for upcoming winter events at the zoo. An update regarding a surprise visit from USDA also follows.
Wild Lights – Beginning Friday, December 1, Wild Lights will return for its 6th year at RDC. This festive holiday event features lights, holiday-themed activities, and a visit with Santa Clause! Wild Lights will run 5 PM to 7 PM December 1 & 2, 8 & 9, 15 &16, and 22 & 23. Admission is $8 per person ages 2 and older for non-members, and $4 per person for RDC members.
Holiday Drop & Shop – Drop your kids off at the zoo and let us entertain and educate them
while you finish your holiday shopping! This day camp will run 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 9th. Lunch will be provided, and space is limited. Registration is $40 per child for non-members, or $30 per child for RDC members. Registration forms can be requested in the gift shop or by emailing info@riversidediscoverycenter.org
New Year Animal Camp – School’s out! Kids in K-5th grade can enjoy a day at the zoo and learn about our animal friends! This day camp runs 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM January 4th & 5th.

USDA Visit – RDC welcomed a surprise visit from USDA inspectors at the beginning of November. Per the inspection report, no non-compliant items were found.
