The Nebraska Department of Transportation is set to begin work on Highway 20 in Chadron and to the west of Chadron.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation said in a release that work will begin on two stretches of Highway 20 from reference post 56.31 to reference post 58.50 which is between Chadron and Whitney and from reference post 59.98 to 60.33 which is along the east side of Chadron.
Simon Contractors out of Cheyenne is the contractor for the project which will include concrete work, asphalt paving, culvert extensions, sidewalks, flumes, grading and seeding. Those traveling along Highway 20 can expect to see lane restrictions, temporary traffic signals, a pilot car with flaggers along with a 12 foot width restriction.
The project is set to begin on June 8th with completion anticipated in November.
