The Wyoming men have now lost their eighth and maybe biggest departure to the transfer portal in Mountain West preseason player of the year Graham Ike. The 6-9 forward was sidelined this past season due to a lower leg injury despite attempts to get back on the court.

Ike averaged almost 20 points and 10 rebounds a game last season in leading Wyoming to the NCAA tournament while the Pokes.

Without Ike this past season, Wyoming struggled to a 9-22 record and a first round loss in the MWC tournament.

Head Coach Jeff Linder released a statement on Tuesday afternoon saying, “The new landscape isn’t changing anytime soon and we must embrace change. As we embrace change, I hope that the State of Wyoming and the passionate fans who wear the Brown and Gold will embrace the young men who will stay and ‘Ride for the Brand.”

An All-Mountain West first teamer in 2022, Ike will most likely be one of the most sought after transfers in the portal.
