The Nebraska men’s basketball team opens up Big Ten Tournament play this afternoon, as the Huskers take on Northwestern.
Tipoff from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis is set for 5 p.m. (central) and the game will be carried on BTN. It will not be on KCSR.
Nebraska moved into the No. 13 seed on the final day of the season following the Huskers’ 74-73 win over No. 10 Wisconsin in Madison coupled with Northwestern’s 75-62 win over Minnesota Sunday evening. Northwestern won both regular season meetings, including a 77-65 win on Feb. 22.
The Huskers closed the regular season with three straight wins on the road, including wins over No. 21 Ohio State and Wisconsin. The Badgers shared the regular-season crown, as Illinois defeated Iowa, 74-72, on Sunday, as the Illini will the tournament’s top seed.
The winner of Nebraska-Northwestern matchup will take on fifth-seeded Iowa Thursday afternoon at approx. 1 p.m.
