Funeral services for 38-year old Jeremy Cottier are Sat, June 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Sharp’s Corner Baptist Church in Sharp’s Corner, SD, with Pastor Matt Hadden officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr Mike Little Boy, Sr.
Burial is at St Alban’s Episcopal Cemetery in the Evergreen Community of Porcupine, SD
A one-night wake service starts at 3:00 PM, Friday, June 18, at 3:00, also at the Sharp’s Corner Baptist Church
Jeremy Lee Cottier “Wambli Isnala” was born on August 6, 1982 in Pine Ridge, SD to Warren Elk Boy & Lucille Cottier. Jeremy made his journey to the Spirit World on June 10, 2021 in Chamberlain, SD.
Jeremy had one son, Jeremy Cottier, jr. and two daughters, Hailey Cottier and Angel Cottier. Jeremy loved spending time with Hailey taking her to the park, swimming, and going for walks. He also enjoyed helping his uncles with various projects.
Jeremy is survived by his father, Warren Elk Boy; son, Jeremy Cottier, Jr.; daughter, Hailey Cottier; sister, Trinity (Joseph) Blacksmith; aunt, Daphne Cottier; uncles, Robert Cottier, Sr., Aldwin Cottierr, Sr., Alvin Cottier, Mark Cottier and Frank Cottier, Sr.; granddaughter, Leilani Standing Bear; nieces/nephews, Sariah Cottier-Blacksmith, Gabrielle Cottier-Blacksmith and Averie Blacksmith; and cousins, Patience Cottier, Madison Cottier and Avianna Cottier.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Cottier; maternal grandparents, Robert, Sr. and Mildred (Badger) Cottier; uncles, Fred Cottier and Sylvester Cottier; daughter, Angel Cottier; paternal grandparents, Nelson and Christine (Grass) Elk Boy; cousin, Jennifer Brewer; and close friend, Troy Richards.
Pallbearers will be Waylon Cottier, Morgan Eagle Star, Bradley Standing Bear, Dwight Ponca, Jordan Cottier, Alden Brewer, Bryan Red Owl, Jr., and Sylvester Cottier.
