A one-night wake service starts Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 2:00 also at the On Common Ground Church with evening services starting at 7:00 PM each night.
Pete Thomas Felix “Maza Hoksila” was born on October 28, 1975 in Winner, SD. to Thomas Poor Bear and Helen Mae Felix. Pete made his journey to the Spirit World on September 18, 2021 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Pete is survived by his wife, Sharlinda Felix of Rapid City, SD; children, Thomas Felix, Sara Felix, Kimberly Felix, and Rosa Felix all of Rapid City, SD; grandchildren, Kyran Felix, Mato Felix, Tavien Felix, and Avery Felix; sisters, Evelyn Felix of Denver, CO, Marty Felix-Andrews of Rapid City, SD, and Evangeline Poor Bear of Surprise, AZ; brothers, Charles Merrival of Wounded Knee, SD and Howard Burritt of Rapid City, Sd; uncles, Butch Felix of Sisseton, SD and Enos Poor Bear of Rapid City, SD; and mother-in-law, Charlotte Pierce of Sturgis, SD.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Poor Bear, Helen Mae Felix-Baca, and Charles Baca; brothers, Robert Merrival-Poor Bear and Lil’ Larry Andrews; maternal grandparents, Everette & Dolly (LaPointe) Felix; paternal grandparents, Enos Poor Bear Sr. and Mabel Red Shirt; and father-in-law, Dennis Pierce.
Pallbearers will be Cory Posley, Brad Johnson, Ronnie Oakie, Darius Jennesse, Jay Peneaux, Josh Felix, Tim Eagle Star, Tone Eagle Star, and Jesse Felix.
