Burial is at the Sitting Bear Family Cemetery in Manderson
A one-night wake service starts Friday, August 26, at 3:00 at the Veronica Sitting Bear-Maea Residence in Manderson with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.
Mary Roseline Sitting Bear was born on September 8, 1942 in Alliance, NE to Douglas White and Keva Swimmer. Mary made her journey to the Spirit World on August 20, 2022 at her home in Manderson, SD.
Mary is survived by her children, Corina Sitting Bear of Aurora, CO, Veronica Sitting Bear of Manderson, SD, Waylon Sitting Bear of Ft. Laramie, WY, and Vern Sitting Bear of Buena Vista, CO; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her spouse, Vern L. Sitting Bear; parents, Keva Swimmer and Douglas White; and sons, Reno, James, Tommy, & Winston Sitting Bear.
Pallbearers will be Sione “John” Maea, Ricky Josefczyk, Alejandro Gauna, Sr., Jesse Runs Against, Nicholas Piper, and Mark White Hawk.
Honorary pallbearers will be all Family, Friends, & Relatives.
