The annual KCSR/KPBY Parade of Lights last night drew one of the largest number of entries in recent year with 14 floats plus the Veterans Honor Guard and over a half-dozen vehicles from the Chadron Volunteer Fire Department.
     Claiming 1st place was Bauerkemper’s of Chadron, who received not only the usual $100 cash prize but also a $400 travel voucher from Southern Airline – which joined Your Selling Team and Platte Valley Bank as parade corporate sponsors this year.
    Taking 2nd and receiving $50 was 385 Xpress Lube while Butler Ag Equipment claimed 3rd place and a $25 dollar prize.Â
Reigning over the parade along with Santa Claus was this year’s Snow Princess, 5-year old Delaney French, a kindergarten student at Chadron Primary School. Also in the parade was Miss Chadron’s Outstanding Teen Arielle Lawrence.
