Raymond John Antelope was born on March 15, 1965 in Pine Ridge, SD to Francis Morrison Sr and Hannah.  Raymond made his journey to the Spirit World on May 17, 2023 in Sioux Falls, SD.

Raymond was a kind and sweet hearted man who had a passion for construction.  He loved to laugh and joke around and was a very, very proud independent Lakota man.

Raymond loved his family dearly, especially his only daughter, Belle (Stella); she was his world whether they were near each other or far apart. He’d stop everything just to spend or show his beloved daughter attention.

Raymond also loved the 8 grandchildren Bella blessed him with, even though it was only pictures, and he was very proud to meet them.

He loved art, especially tattoos. They symbolized him uniquely. He knew how to attract a crowd and was a very easy-going and likable guy who didn’t have any enemies.

Raymond is survived by his daughter Estella Thompson; brother Tyler Morrison; grandchildren Mizayha, Lyric, Quaneya, Alekiah, Ziva, Teleyahnie, Tiauna, and Teon; half-sisters Sandra Morrison and Marcida Eagle Bear; and half-brothers Francis Morrison Jr, Orlando Morrison Sr, Leroy Morrison Sr, William Morrison, and Sanford Morrison.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Francis Morrison Sr and Hannah;  sisters Evelyn Stands, Helen Bald Eagle, Ina Cross, Allison Little Spotted Horse, and Ramona Little Spotted Horse; and half-brother Clifford Morrison.

Pallbearers will be Orlando Morrison, Jr, Leroy Morrison Sr, Gerald Eagle Bear, Gilbert Morrison, Francis Morrison III, Daniel Morrison, Joshua Morrison, and Luther Fernen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Teon White Magpie, Milton White Magpie, Shawn Nathan, and All Friends & Relatives.
