     A 76-year old Gering man was killed yesterday morning when he was hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle along Hwy 26 about 2 miles east of Scottsbluff.
Merlin Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:40 am accident while the driver who hit him, 32-year old Zachariah Bolling of Scottsbluff was charged with misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide.
The Nebraska State Patrol has released few details of the accident at this time other than both Anderson and Bolling were eastbound.
