It’s already starting to look like Fur Trade Days in Chadron, which gets started on Thursday.
Mac’s Carnival will once again be on the 100 and 200 blocks of Bordeaux and East 2nd, and City Manager Tom Menke says the city closed those blocks to through traffic Monday in anticipation of the carnival units arriving.
The first of the carnival unit did arrive Monday and set-up began Tuesday morning.
Other Fur Trade Days street closures downtown and on the 100 block of West 4th St will begin Wednesday or Thursday.
Main Street will be closed from 1st to 10th Saturday morning for the parade, which this year has the theme “These Boots Are Made For Tradin’.”
