Rain and stormy weather at the Legion Class C Seniors State Tournament at the historic Modisett Ball Park in Rushville last night led to the suspension of the final game of the night between the host Sheridan County Security First Regulators and the Imperial Horns.
It resumed this morning at 10:00 with Sheridan County on top 5-3 and batting in the top of 5th, but Imperial dominated the resumption by scoring 3 runs in both the 5th and 6th while shutting out the Regulators the rest of the way for the win.
That moves Imperial into the Winner’s Bracket semifinals at 7:00 tonight against Malcolm, who scored in the bottom of the 1st yesterday against DCB (Dannebrog Cairo Boelus) and made it stand up for a 1-0 victory.
Sheridan County drops into an elimination game at 4:pp against Wilber, who sent Pender home 3-1 yesterday. The other elimination game is at 1:00 with DCB meeting Lincoln Lutheran, an 8-0 winner on a 6-inning no-hitter against Hartington.
