March 9, 2024. Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol have conducted alcohol compliance checks in Box Butte County.
During the afternoon and evening hours on Saturday March 9, 2024, investigators conducted alcohol compliance checks in Box Butte County. This project was supported by grant #1848 from the Panhandle Public Health District.
In total, 24 businesses were checked. One of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor for a compliance rate of 95.8%. The business checked the minor’s identification before sale.

Safeway 549 – Alliance
The businesses included convenience stores, grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores and bars.
Businesses that sell alcohol to minors are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to minors are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.
