UPDATE: Alliance PD Gives All Clear Following Bomb Threat Investigation

2:00 P.M. UPDATE: Alliance, NE – Alliance High School has been cleared by law enforcement personnel and deemed safe following today’s bomb threat investigation.

The Alliance Police Department would like to thank all responding agencies for their assistance and coordinated response, including the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol Bomb Technicians, Scottsbluff bomb technicians, Alliance Fire Department, and additional assisting agencies.

The investigation has determined this incident to be a false call and part of an apparent swatting trend that has impacted multiple communities across the region today.

ORIGINAL STORY: Alliance, NE – Alliance High School is currently on lockdown following a bomb threat received earlier today. As a precautionary measure, all other Alliance Public Schools have been placed on a temporary hold status.

At this time, all available intelligence and investigative information indicate the threat is likely not credible. However, in the interest of student and staff safety, school administration made the decision to evacuate Alliance High School.

Buses are currently en route to transport students to the Knight Museum in accordance with established reunification protocols. Parents will receive additional information and reunification instructions directly through Alliance Public Schools communication channels.

Parents and members of the public are strongly urged not to respond to Alliance High School at this time. Please follow reunification procedures at the Knight Museum to allow emergency personnel to safely manage the incident and maintain clear access to the campus.

The Alliance Police Department is actively investigating the threat and working closely with school officials to ensure the safety of students, staff, and the community.
