Alvina Marian Feather Earring was born on March 7, 1936 in Pine Ridge, SD to John Grass and Etta Cordelia Weston. Alvina made her journey to the Spirit World on July 5, 2023 at the Pine Ridge IHS. Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Alvina is survived by her husband Benjamin Conquering Bear; daughters Verla Feather Earring of Sioux City, IA; Gerda Feather Earring of Minneapolis, MN; Shirline (Joe) Rainey of Porcupine; Millie (Bud) Blue Horse of Pierre, SD; Tana White Face, Latoya Feather Earring, and Beula & Arlette Weasel Bear. all of Porcupine; Lavina Dancing Bull of Seattle, WA; Yolanda Black Bear of Pierre; Emmaline One Horn of Kyle, SD; and Vicky Little of California; son Malcolm Feather Earring of Porcupine; hunka son Tim Gans of Arkansas; siblings Percy Big Eagle of Sioux City, IA; Christine Latay of Oglala; David Pourier of Rockyford, SD; and Grace Bear Runner of Porcupine, SD; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Alvina was preceded in death by her mother Etta Weston; father John Grass; daughters Fermina and Benita Feather Earring; son Donroy Feather Earring and one infant son; grandchildren Jesse Running Shield, Whisper Cottier, and Iayla Luxon; sister Christine Elk Boy; brother Urva Grass Sr; Baby Darrin Whipple III; and great-grandchildren Baby Girl Feather Earring and Theodore Yellow Hair.
