Funeral services for 40-year old Ambrose Belt III are Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2:00 at the Belt residence located at House 595 Oglala, SD, with Pastors Eric Sutton and Leon Schwartz officiating.
A one-night wake service starts Friday, October 1, at 5:00 also at the Belt residence, House 595 in Oglala.
Burial is in the Kills Small-Brave Family Cemetery in Oglala
Ambrose Matthew Belt III was born on March 13, 1981 in Pine Ridge, SD to Ambrose Belt II and Carlene (White Bull) Cloke. Ambrose made his journey to the Spirit World on September 23, 2021 at the Ava’s House in Sioux Falls, SD.
Ambrose is survived by his wife, Essence Belt; parents, Ambrose Belt II and Carlene Cloke; children, Ambrose James Belt IV, Sabryna Elaine Belt, Amberrose Jeanette Belt, Ida Diane Rouillard, and Mattea Marie Martin; sisters, Merrilee Belt, Sequoia Two Bulls, and Santa Hudspeth-Clarke; brothers, Gabriel, Jacob, and Zachary Hudspeth-Belt; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, & nephews.
Ambrose was preceded in death by his sister, Armanda Monique Belt-Boyd; brothers, Sky Alton Belt, Dennis Scott, and Joseph Beau Belt; paternal grandparents, Ambrose, Sr. & Elizabeth (Two Bulls) Belt; and maternal grandparents, Jake White Bull, Sr. and Louis Ferguson.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Red Bear, Wade Vocu, Jay Thompson, Stephen Kills Small, Derek Yellow Cloud, Paul Weasel Bear, Waylon Stands, Norman Featherman, Henry Belt, Sr., and Frederick Bagola, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
