Chadron State College has taken the word “interim” off the title of Director of Human Resources for Amee Diers. The assistant director since 2015, Diers was named Interim Director of Human Resources in August.
Vice President for Administration and Finance Kari Gaswick says Diers “has demonstrated excellent leadership as the Interim Director and I am confident she will continue that trait and more while she leads the Human Resources department.”
Diers, who has both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Chadron State, worked in the private sector as a paralegal and human resources manager before joining the college in 2014 as a Project Coordinator in the Administration and Finance Department.
Gaswick says her “institutional knowledge, as well as her familiarity with the Nebraska State College System, are valuable assets” that will benefit Chadron State and its students.
Diers says she’s eager to assist the college’s employees and those seeking employment and to “cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and learning that is balanced with an authentic concern for the individual employee.”
Diers adds that CSC has been “a wonderful place to work” for her and she intends to do all she can to ensure others have that same type of experience.”
Two new hires join Diers in the Human Resources department. They are HR Coordinator Danielle Rasmussen and Damien Zuniga, an Office Assistant II.
