Funeral services for 69-year old Anna Mae Brown Bear are Sat, Jan 15, 2022 at 11:00 at the Allen CAP Office in Allen, SD, with Pastor Tim Wardell officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr Justin Poor Bear

Burial is at the Brown Bear Family Cemetery, north of Allen.

A one-night wake service starts Friday, Jan 14, at noon at the Allen CAP Office in Allen, SD.

Anna Mae Brown Bear was born on December 17, 1952 in Wanblee, SD to Francis Marshall and Cordelia Trouble In Front. Anna Mae made her journey to the Spirit World on January 5, 2022 in Allen, SD.

Anna Mae is survived by her children, Harold Brown Bear, Jr., Wenona Brown Bear, Edgar Jamie Brown Bear, Harolyn Brown Bear, Oliver Brown Bear, and Nancy Brown Bear; sisters, Pauline DuBray, Goldie DuBray, Linda Lou DuBray, Lucinda Hartman, and Donna Marshall; brother, Eddie Marshall, Eric Marshall, and Corbin Marshall; grandchildren, Contessa Vasquez, Cecil Brown Bear, Lamia Vasquez, Latasha Vasquez, Malia Brown Bear, Carl Janis, Jr., Alyna Kills Small, Johnathon Kills Small, Jr., Lillieanna Kills Small, Myles Kills Small, Harmony Kills Small, Madison Brooke, Daelan Brooke, Sosa Brown Bear, and Adam Brown Bear; great-grandchildren, Ambriella Long Soldier and Aviana Long Soldier; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Anna Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Marshall and Cordelia Trouble In Front; spouse, Harold Brown Bear, Sr.; son, Sidney Brown Bear; sister, Delores (Marshall) Plenty Arrows; brothers, Francis β€œBuch” Marshall, Jerry Marshall, Kenneth Marshall, Ronald Marshall, Levi Marshall, and Cecil Trouble In Front; and grandchildren, Trevin Vasquez and Heaven Kills Small.

Pallbearers will be Jonathon Kills Small, Jr., Jonathon Kills Small, Sr., Leoni Yellow Hawk, Nicholas DuBray, Wesley Means, Jr., Fred Packed, Enoch Tallman, and Robbie DuBray.

Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends, Grandchildren, & Relatives.
