Jerome “Buzzy” Brown Bull

Funeral services for 50-year old Jerome “Buzzy” Brown Bull are Monday, Jan 17, 2022 at 11:00 at the Little Wound House of Prayer in Kyle, SD, with Lay Minister Anthony Wounded Head officiating.

Burial is at St Barnabas Episcopal Cemetery in Kyle.

A one-night wake service starts Sunday, Jan 16, at 1:00 at the Little Wound House of Prayer in Kyle, SD

Jerome Lamoine Brown Bull was born on January 27, 1971 in Pine Ridge, SD to Tyrone Apple and Sara Delores Brown Bull.  Jerome made his journey to the Spirit World on January 8, 2022 at the Billings Clinic in Billings, MT.

Jerome “Buz” went to all of his school at Little Wound School and graduated with the class of 1990.  He was very active in cross country and track, winning many awards, and over the years participated in the Sacred Hoop 500 Mile Run and the Crazy Horse Walk. 

Jerome was a very well known friend to everyone who knew him.  He was employed at Sioux Nation for many years and was also employed at many other places. He was certified in carpentry and made his own furniture.  

Jerome enjoyed fishing, hiking, biking, volleyball, gardening, and really enjoyed being with his grandson, Isaac.  Jerome also helped others in their time of need, he was a good brother who was there when needed, a good friend, and father figure to many others.  

Jerome led a very hard life, but he did the best he could with every day he had and now he is at peace at last, which we are grateful for.  

Jerome is survived by his daughters, Ladora Brown Bull, Makayla Brown Bull, and Jada Roubideaux; sons, Michael Brown Bull and Wambli Good Plume; grandson, Isaac Brown Bull; mother, Geri Brown Bull; sisters, Lena Tallman and Leta Apple; brothers, Tony Medicine Eagle, John Brown Bull, Warren Apple, Paul Apple, Evan Brown Bull, and Manny Clifford, and many others he called brothers and sisters; and numerous aunts and uncles.  

Jerome was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna Good Plume; mother, Sara Brown Bull; infant son, Brennen Brown Bull; aunt, Galene Brown Bull; and grandparents, Jerome & Vera Brown Bull and Paul & Stella Apple. 

Pallbearers will be Howard Rooks, Joey Walking, Kenny Apple, Evan Brown Bull, Jackson Mesteth, Emmett Rodriguez, John Brown Bull, Jr., and Mario White Butterfly, Sr.

Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
