Anne Louise Hinman, born May 1, 1944, in Sterling, passed away peacefully at home on May 1, 2026, at the age of 82.

On May 1, 1982, she married the love of her life, Tom Hinman, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned 44 years. Anne was a woman of deep Catholic faith, which brought her comfort, strength, and guidance throughout her life.

Anne always dreamed of being a mother, and she fulfilled that calling not only through her own family but also by opening her heart and home to foster children over many years. She gave love, care, and stability to those who needed it most. Professionally, Anne worked as a banker for many years and later dedicated much of her time to caring for both the elderly and children, always putting others before herself.

Those who knew Anne knew her unwavering loyalty and passions. She was a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos, but nothing compared to the love she had for her grandsons. She cherished them deeply and found her greatest joy in being their grandmother.

Anne’s love was especially evident in the quiet, everyday moments. Nearly every night until her passing, she would wait anxiously for her grandson Blake to call her on his way home from work, concerned for his safety as he walked alone. No matter how late, she would stay up just to hear his voice and know he was safe—a testament to her enduring love and devotion.

Anne was an incredibly strong, compassionate, and selfless woman who touched many lives. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Tom Hinman; her daughters, Rebecca (Glenn Cattnach) and Emily Hinman; her grandsons, Blake Hinman and Liam Cattnach; and her brother, Chas (Jackie) Reynolds.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne’s memory to Chadron Hospice.
