Memorial services for 74-year old Bobby Lee Hamaker of Custer, SD, are Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 11:00 am at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD.

Committal services follow at 3:00 at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.

A memorial has been established with donations sent to Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home, PO Box 812, Hot Springs, SD, 57747 

Bobby Lee Hamaker was born March 8, 1947, in Crawford, NE, to Tim F. and Ruth (Tolliver) Hamaker. He passed away September 8, 2021, at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home in Hot Springs, SD.

Bobby proudly served in the U.S.  Army until his honorable discharge in 1969. He enjoyed careers with the BNSF railroad; the hog farm in Provo; and cowboying at Fort  Robinson. 

Bobby is survived by his wife, Roseellen Hamaker of Custer; sons, Grant Hamaker of Edgemont, SD; Donny Hamaker of Oral SD; daughters, Cheryl Shook of Edgemont, SD; Diane Hamaker of Rapid City, SD; Jody Tackett of Milford, IA; stepsons, Jacob Leeling of St. Paul, MN; Mark Leeling of Covington, LA; step-daughter, Myra Alexander of Custer, SD; sisters, Mary Hattervig of Hot Springs; LuJean Haskvitz of Edgemont; Linda Olmstead of Sioux Falls, SD; 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and honorary grandchildren. 

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
